2012年8月，中心常务副主任石勇教授应邀成为澳大利亚国家科学机构：英联邦科学与工程研究组织(CSIRO, The Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation)的信息与通信领域(ICT, Information Communication Technology)兼职高级研究员（Adjunct Science Fellow，2012-2015）。这是国际学术界对石勇教授科研水平的又一认同与荣誉。
